Tunes

Many of the funerals and memorials I have performed include military, police and fire department services. With over 40 years of military and police band experience, I am familiar with all the ceremonial procedures, and play regularly at Florida National (Military) Cemetery in Bushnell.

I wear a day uniform - kilt, Argyll jacket and glengarry.

I typically play at either the church/chapel or at the grave site, however if the locations are nearby I can play both.

At the church I typically play as the casket is being brought in, during a meditation time in the service and as the casket is brought out of the church.

At the grave site, I play as the casket is brought from the hearse to the grave site, during the ceremony and at the end as mourners leave.  If the deceased was in the military, I can play the march past tune of the branch of service - Air Force, Army, Marines or Navy.

Tunes used for funerals are:

Lord Lovat's Lament

Amazing Grace

Going Home

Flowers of the Forest

Mist Covered Mountains
